This year we can not be together to celebrate Yorkshire Day, but you and your members can still celebrate the day and demonstrate our regional pride to the world by taking part in our 'YCA Yorkshire Day Best Dressed.....?' Competition.
We actively encourage members to take part in this group demonstration of our pride in Yorkshire and show the world what makes us so special. The winner will get a wonderful hamper full of Yorkshire Goodies!
How to take part Create a 'Best Dressed ................?'. So, you fill in the blank! You could choose to create a best dressed window, garden, doll, door, headwear, corsage, bicycle or any item at all that you can decorate to celebrate Yorkshire and which can be displayed to be seen by others. Perhaps you could think about incorporating ideas or images relating to Yorkshire and the colours of the Yorkshire flag - blue, yellow and white. Send us a photo of your entry as soon as possible before, on or after Yorkshire Day (Saturday 1 August 2020) for judging and sharing on social media and in a press release. We really would appreciate advance photos of as many entries as possible. Please make sure you clearly show your name, YCA Branch and your address and telephone number - these details will not be shown to the judges but may be included in a press release. Deadline for entries is Tuesday 11 August to allow for those who need to post original photos. Please email them where at all possible to the central office or post if you are unable to email. Entries are by individuals only, no group entries - although one person may submit an entry which has been made by a group, but this must be stated on the entry. The entries will be judged by a team of 3 Members. The winner will be notified by the end of August 2020. There is one prize of a Yorkshire Hamper. Good luck! Angela x
